The Meadow, South Normanton

Project Detail

Owl Partnerships has commenced work on The Meadow, a new affordable housing development in South Normanton being delivered in partnership with emh group and Bolsover District Council.

Located on land to the rear of Red Lane, the development will provide 52 affordable homes across a mix of social rent and shared ownership tenures, helping to address local housing demand within the area.

The scheme includes 28 homes for social rent and 24 homes for shared ownership, comprising a range of one-bedroom maisonettes alongside two, three and four-bedroom semi-detached and detached homes.

Set across a 1.8-hectare greenfield site identified within the local settlement framework, The Meadow has been designed to complement the surrounding neighbourhood while providing high-quality, energy efficient homes suited to modern living.

The development forms part of a wider commitment from all partners to increase the supply of affordable housing across the region and support long-term housing need within local communities.

Residents at The Meadow will benefit from access to nearby amenities and strong transport links, helping to create a well-connected and sustainable new community.

The first homes are anticipated to be available from summer 2025, with the full development expected to complete in winter 2026.

Helping to address local housing demand within the area

Bolsover District Council has also welcomed the development, recognising the importance of increasing the availability of affordable and social housing within the district.

Our population is growing and we have to provide good quality housing for people to live in, not just private homes but affordable social housing as well, and this development supports those ambitions.
