Stonydelph football team kitted out by local housing developer

Stonydelph Football Club U9s Tigers have recently benefitted from kit sponsorship provided by Tamworth based home-builder Owl Homes.

Stonydelph Juniors FC was founded in 1998 by Mr and Mrs Temple who were looking for a local team for their son. The club has gone from strength to strength and currently has 16 teams from U7s to U15s playing in the Tamworth Junior League.

The ethos of the club is to offer every child the chance to play football in a safe environment, regardless of their ability. As a non-profit organization, the club relies on sponsorship for items such as kits to help keep subscription payments to a minimum, allowing football to be accessible to all.

Stonydelph Under 9s Tigers have enjoyed playing the first part of the season in their new kits provided by Owl Homes.

Steve Greenhill, Under 9s Tigers Coach, says: “We are delighted that Owl Homes have given their support to the Under 9s Tigers team. Their sponsorship has enabled us to buy brand new kits for the squad. A big thank you to Owl Homes for supporting their local team. We look forward to a successful season of football.”

Dean Murrell, Commercial Director for Owl Homes, says: “We are delighted to sponsor Stonydeph Juniors FC by providing the kit for the U9s team and support our local community in this way. The football club provides a place for children of all ages and abilities to do something they enjoy. The team looks great in their new kit, and we wish them the best for the rest of the season.”

Owl Homes, who are also based in Tamworth, are a privately owned home-builder delivering high-quality homes across the Midlands. Owl Homes have a development in the neighbouring village of Polesworth, ‘Poet’s Rest’, which has proved a great success with only four homes remaining in 3- and 4-bedroom styles. Prices of these homes range from £275,000 to £375,000.
