Owl and Platform Housing Group Celebrate Progress at Ryall Affordable Homes Development

Site visit highlights strong partnership delivering 25 much-needed affordable homes for the local community

Owl was delighted to welcome representatives from Platform Housing Group to its Ryall development last week, providing an opportunity to showcase the significant progress being made on a scheme that will deliver 25 new affordable homes for the local community.

The development has been carefully designed to help address an identified shortage of affordable housing in the area, creating opportunities for local people and families to remain within the community through a mix of affordable rent and shared ownership homes.

The site visit brought together teams from Owl and Platform Housing Group, reinforcing the collaborative partnership that has been central to the successful delivery of the scheme from the outset.

Meeting Local Housing Needs

Located in the rural village of Ryall, the development will provide a range of high-quality homes designed to support local housing demand and create opportunities for people to access affordable housing close to family, work and established community networks.

Affordable housing developments such as Ryall play an important role in supporting sustainable rural communities, helping to ensure villages remain vibrant places to live for future generations.

By delivering a balanced mix of rented and shared ownership properties, the scheme will provide a variety of routes into housing for local residents at different stages of life.

The Value of Partnership

The visit offered an opportunity for both organisations to review progress on site, discuss the next stages of construction and strengthen the partnership that continues to drive the project forward.

Regular engagement between development partners helps ensure schemes are delivered efficiently, while maintaining a shared focus on quality, customer experience and community benefit.

As construction continues, Owl and Platform Housing Group remain committed to working closely together to create homes that will have a lasting positive impact for residents and the wider area.

Looking Ahead

The Ryall development remains on track for completion later this year, bringing forward 25 much-needed affordable homes that will help support local housing needs for years to come.

Mike Kelly, Managing Director – East Midlands at Owl Group, said:

“Developments like Ryall demonstrate the real value of strong partnerships and a shared commitment to meeting local housing needs. Working alongside Platform Housing Group, we’re delivering high-quality affordable homes that will make a genuine difference for individuals and families looking to stay within the communities they know and love.

It was fantastic to see our teams come together on site and reflect on the progress being made. As the development continues to take shape, we’re looking forward to delivering a scheme that will provide lasting benefits for the local area and much-needed housing opportunities for years to come.”

The scheme is another example of Owl’s commitment to working with trusted partners to deliver high-quality homes that meet local needs, create opportunities for communities and leave a positive legacy long after construction is complete.
